Currently, it is assumed that the Irkut MC-21 machines will be made of composites to a large extent, they are also to be characterized by very high ergonomics of operation and operating costs lower than those produced by Airbus or Boeing. Ultimately, three main variants of the machine are to be built: MC-21-200 (version for up to 165 passengers), MC-21-300 (version for up to 211 passengers, which is to compete on the market with Airbus A320 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft) and MC-21-400 (the largest version, designed for max. 230 passengers).
